Sarah Rosenthal is a writer and educator whose work has been featured in Bitch Magazine, The Sun, GEN Mag, Creative Nonfiction, Gay Mag, LitHub, Electric Lit, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, CrimeReads, Columbia Journal, and beyond. Her nonfiction and fiction are primarily concerned with how anxiety manifests in American culture (both past and present). Her weekly newsletter, Nervous Wreckage, was selected as a Featured Publication on Substack in 2021.
She teaches writing at New York University, and has previously taught at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Bard College, and Columbia University. In 2021, she earned her M.F.A. in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University School of the Arts. She lives in Brooklyn with the world’s most charming chihuahua.
